TEAM UP To CLEAN UP Lafayette Park
FOURMIDABLE, a Bingham Farms-based real estate management company, is organizing “Team Up to Clean Up,” a Lafayette Park event to benefit the venerable Detroit municipal park on Tuesday, June 26 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The announcement was made by FOURMIDABLE President Scott Allen.
FOURMIDABLE employees will be volunteering their time to rejuvenate the park by painting and repairing the playground, weeding the tennis courts and making minor repairs to the benches and picnic tables in Lafayette Park. Volunteers also will be organized by After 5, a Detroit group dedicated to assisting local companies in attracting and retaining young professionals in the city, along with local businesses and residents donating their time from nearby apartments in the area.
FOURMIDABLE serves as the property manager for nearby Lafayette Towers and Skyview Tower Apartments.
“Our FOURMIDABLE properties make up a large portion of the residences in the Lafayette Park area,” said Allen. “We wanted to give back to the community and begin an ongoing initiative to show pride in this historic area of Detroit.”
Lafayette Park is a 19-acre, municipally owned park located between Downtown Detroit and Chene Park, with close proximity to Belle Isle and Eastern Market.
“We encourage Detroiters to participate in the ‘Team Up to Clean Up' Lafayette Park event on June 26,” added Allen. “This park is an integral part of Detroit and we are proud to support efforts to revitalize and reinvigorate one of the City's gems.”
