Niles Housing Commission Expends $1 Million On Improvements
Niles, MI – In less than two years, the Niles Housing Commission is making real change for the lives of local public housing residents with over $1 million in improvements completed and planned for a public housing community composed of 129 high-rise units and 50 scattered family homes in Niles, Michigan. The improvements that benefit current residents and shore up the surrounding community include:
Elevator Repairs – $30,784.00
Exterior Improvements – $8,754.95
Flooring Improvements – $107,000.00
Grounds Improvements – $91,666.00
Grounds Repairs – $7,544.00
HVAC Replacements – $11,930.00
Interior Improvements – $310,304.00
Kitchen Improvements – $141,752.72
Ordinary Maintenance – $47,933.00
Roof Replacement – $215,000.00
Rubbish & Pest Management – $24,867.00
Window Replacements – $5,442.48
Grand Total – $1,002,978.15
