FOURMIDABLE Retains Spot On Affordable 100 List
FOURMIDABLE, one of the most active companies nationwide when it comes to managing affordable housing units, is once again on the ‘Affordable 100' List of companies recognized by the National Affordable Housing Management Association.
FOURMIDABLE has been on the list for four years running, with last year's ranking (#81) largely due to Low Income Housing Tax Credit development contracts the company secured ahead of the 2017 ranking.
This year, the firm is #116 on the NAHMA list, “still an impressive number”, says Michael Schocker, president of FOURMIDABLE.
“The industry we serve is really a dynamic one, so it's not unusual for there to be a variation between affordable and conventional properties from year to year,” said Schocker. “For our company, remaining among the highest ranked is something that we see as a reflection of our steadfast commitment to customer quality.”
NAHMA, an organization that serves as a leading voice for affordable housing management, works on behalf of multifamily property managers and owners whose mission is to provide quality affordable housing. The organization's Affordable 100 list ranks the largest affordable multifamily property management companies in the United States based on the total number of subsidized units managed. To make the list, each company must manage housing units that qualify for at least one of the following federal subsidies: HUD Project-based Assistance, Section 42 LIHTC, HOME funds, USDA Section 515, or Bonds.
FOURMIDABLE's experience in the management of various types of housing, including luxury conventional apartments, public housing, condominiums and commercial properties, has resulted in a growth in its business to more than 200 properties since the company was founded in 1975.
