Niles Housing Commission continues successful reign
Housing and Urban Development (HUD) released the score for Niles Housing Commission, confirming their "High Performer” status in the Public Housing Assessment System (PHAS). This is the third year in a row that Niles Housing Commission has retained their “High Performer” ranking. The PHAS score effectively measures the performance of a public housing agency (PHA).
FOURMIDABLE CEO Jeri Hays, said, “The High Performer rating by HUD underscores the commitment of the Housing Authority, FOURMIDABLE and our employees who work tirelessly to provide housing that enriches the lives of the residents at our communities.”
Niles Housing Commission continues to make positive improvements through HUD's Capital Fund Program (CFP). $253,497 in CFP funds were invested back into the property in 2018; this helped to replace the roof and flooring in the residents' unit. With the increase in 2019 to $278,549, Niles anticipated improvements will include a variety of enhancements including kitchen remodels and window replacement in the single family homes. Since 2015, over $1.5 million in funds have been allocated to the property for capital improvements.
“We are very pleased with all the improvements and progress we have been able to make since we became the Management Agent in 2015. We are excited to continue our relationship with the Niles Housing Commission and improve the quality of life for our residents,” said FOURMIDABLE Director of Affordable Operations Sabrina Bollinger.
